review:

Growing up I was a rough-and-tumble kid, and unfortunately, I accidentally remain a rough-and-tumble adult. I bought this mouse so that I could have a chance not tripping over cords, but in the end, I dropped the damn thing all the time anyway. What can you do? But this mouse is actually pretty resilient. Dropped it plenty of times and it keeps on ticking.

I didn't buy it for looks, I didn't buy it for style, and I certainly didn't buy it because it's ergonomic. I bought it so I can balance it on my knee, put it on a desk, balance it on the arm of my couch, or even on the edge of my bed. And it does all of that. It can fall on the hardwood floor without me worrying that it's going to shatter.

My suggestion would be to keep it clean and treat it like you need any other electronic device (not damn near destroying it like you do) and it'll get the job done. It's great for the clumsy pragmatist. I have had it for about 2 months now. The ergonomics are quite good. I had no problems with the larger trackball mouse but it's not bad at all. Some here say the trackball gets hard to move and that is easily fixed by removing the trackball and cleaning it.

Since it's a small trackball it collects dust easily. I would say it's a good small trackball but if you prefer a larger trackball mouse just go with something else. Overall, it's really good and I'm happy with it. Works great on my laptop in the truck. Don't have to worry about the ball falling out. Would recommend it to anyone who uses a laptop on the go! Trackballs were around long before mice.

In fact, I firmly believe that if it hadn't been for backward companies that rhyme with cr@pple, everyone would be using trackballs instead of mice. I mean seriously, who wants to run their hand all over a desktop to control a pointer? Some will need time to get used to it, but consider this; when my son was 2 years old he had no trouble using a trackball with great ease.

The Perixx PERIPRO-706 wireless trackball Mouse has an error. They get dirty. Help keep your hands clean but not perfectly. I have to say that it was extremely difficult to move the ring to clean it. I had to use a rubber jar opener to turn it on for the first time. Okay close my soapbox and why I chose this trackball. It has everything I wanted. The trackball, of course, is finger-driven.

I am afraid my thumb would not be happy using a thumb-operated one all day. It is wireless, with no ends to go bad or a cord to trip on. And it has a scroll wheel. The only good thing, in my opinion, is mice. For me, with my large hands, I find the attached wrist pad too small to be useful so I am trying it without it. In case anyone wants to know if it works on a Chromebook. It does!
